We tend to think of erosion as destruction, but I see it as a beautiful uncovering. I painted this during a massive period of personal evolution. For years, I felt the heavy pressure of society’s expectations pushing me into a traditional box, making me question my own identity as a bisexual woman and causing me to doubt my desires. This painting represents the exact moment those rigid, artificial structures began to crack. It is about stripping away the "rules" we think we have to follow to reveal a fundamental, authentic peace that was there all along.
